Vera Bradley just announced that they’re making a few changes to their annual spring outlet sale this year, most likely in an attempt to curb the reselling of their products. In the past, shoppers were able to purchase up to $2,500 in goods every day of the sale. Now, shoppers will only be allowed to purchase $2,500 during the entire sale event and the total number of sale days has been extended by one additional day to 5 total days. Participants will need to register either online (beginning in mid-March) or on-site, pay $5 and show their ID in order to purchase anything. If we register early, VB will provide coupons and promo offers for the event.
There also won’t be a first day, employee-only purchasing event as they’ve had in the past, so the bags that are offered on the first day of the sale won’t have been picked over already. From my experience of the outlet sale, the first day or two offers the best selection, but the last couple of days offer the best prices on whatever is still available at that point. So, hopefully these new rules will be enforced and they’ll provide all of us with the chance of getting the best deals on our favorite bags/colors without having to compete with the resellers for once! Are any of you planning on attending the outlet sale this spring in Fort Wayne, IN?
Love purple punch, cupcakes will probably retire quickly. Still don’t understand the marketing process. All the big resellers state that they bought their merchandise from authorized retailers. Do they buy at such a quantity they they get major discounts? Or are they really vera bradley in disguise? And what about the hugh ebay fees, listing, fvf, and pay pal? I asked someone at vb about the “sale in the spring, they said that it was seconds and that the labels were cut in half and it was for personal use only, not for resell.
I am not a big reseller, I’ve only sold what I have bought at .com because I didn’t like the color when I got it home. Retailer, reseller, China, Shir Lanka, Indiana, How do I know who to believe? Does it even matter?
My daughter and I plan to go to the spring outlet sale this year. We live in Ohio so it’s not far for us. We are excited to see what it’s all about and are just looking for things for ourselves and some gifts. I’m partial to the Amy and Libby bags. I would like to get something in Hope Garden and Cupcakes Green for Spring. While we’re in the area, we plan to visit Shipshewana, too.
No matter what, it will be a great Mother-Daughter trip.
I wasn’t able to pull up a pre-registration form. How can I obtain one?
Just go here to register online for the outlet sale.
